What I tried over 6 years, on my bathroom counter: serums, the pill, antibiotics, a skin therapist’s card, cutting out dairy and sugar, and Clear+

I tried 6 products for hormonal acne. Only 1 really worked.

Let me save you the time and money I wasted.

Read what finally worked

Over the past 6 years, I spent €180 on serums for a 10-step routine, spent three years on the pill (and broke out when I stopped), had two courses of antibiotics from my GP, spent €350 on a skin therapist, went months without dairy or sugar, and finally found the one supplement that worked.

Five things that failed. One that worked. Here’s the difference:

1. I realised my spots didn’t start on the surface of my skin

My spots always appeared on my chin and jawline the week before my period. And nothing I tried really helped.

Then I read that hormonal spots start beneath your skin, 2 to 3 weeks before you see them. So serums arrive too late. The pill and antibiotics only kept them at bay.

I’d spent six years treating the surface of something that started within.

2. It tackles three things my creams never reached

Illustration: a capsule in the bloodstream delivers nutrients to the hair follicle, oil gland and skin surface

This was the first thing that worked where it all began. On three fronts:

  • Hormones: 500 mg of vitamin B5 and 20 mg of zinc help keep them balanced.
  • Oil: 200 mg of spearmint makes your skin less oily.
  • Skin: zinc and vitamin A help new spots settle faster.

A typical multivitamin has around 6 mg of B5. This has 500 mg. For the first time, something addressed the cause, not just the spot.

… I see support from within as a valuable part of a good skincare routine.

3. No pill, no antibiotics, no dried-out skin

A bathroom drawer containing the pill, antibiotics and serums is pushed shut

Honestly? I wanted to go back on the pill. Anything was better than another breakout. But then I’d be tied to something that only kept it under control.

These are just vitamins, minerals and spearmint. No hormones, no prescription. And my skin didn’t have to peel or sting first, like it did with all those acids.

For the first time, it didn’t feel like I had to fight my skin.

It works!

… I've been taking it for just over 2 weeks and I can already see a really clear difference. Not just a little bit – it's like night and day. I was actually thinking of going back on the pill because of hormonal acne, but I'm so glad I found this much less drastic alternative … Anyway, the bottom line is: it works!

4. I no longer had to cover up my jawline

For years, my mornings started with concealer. I wore my hair down over my jawline and deleted photos straight away.

Then the week before my period came around. I waited for the familiar bumps. And… nothing happened.

I put my hair in a ponytail and went out without make-up.

Struggled with it for so long

I struggled with hormonal acne for so long, but after 2 weeks of using Clear+ I can already see a difference! Wish I’d known about this years ago.

5. It was easier than my 10-step routine

A hand holding two capsules at breakfast, beside yoghurt, coffee and a sprig of mint

2 capsules with breakfast. That’s it. No more ten different products, just a gentle cleanser and a moisturiser.

I didn’t see much in the first few weeks. Around week 8, I could really see the difference in the mirror. The only thing that matters is taking it every day.

My bathroom shelf is almost empty now.

What a great product!

Hormonal acne almost completely gone after 3 months!! I didn’t expect this to work so well … Taking it consistently = very good results.

6. It cost less than everything that didn’t work

A smiling woman with clearer skin holds Clear+

I added it up once: €180 on serums, €350 at the skin therapist, three years on the pill, two courses of antibiotics. And I had nothing to show for it.

Three months of Clear+ costs less than I spent at the skin therapist alone. And if it doesn’t work after 90 days? You get your money back.

I'd tried everything

Trustpilot

I'd tried everything: expensive creams, toners, antibiotics from my GP. Then I discovered Cloudless. After just two weeks, I could already see a difference and my skin looked more even! From within. I immediately ordered another three months' worth!

Finally, clearer skin again

Trustpilot

After I stopped taking the pill, my skin started breaking out. I tried all sorts of vitamins and minerals, but it didn't really get better. Now, after 3 months of clearday, my skin is finally clearer. It's so nice to only have to take this instead of lots of different things.

Tried everything for years

I'd tried everything for years and spent so much money on skincare and treatments, so I finally took the plunge and ordered the capsules. After 2 months, I could already see a difference: no more inflamed spots and clearer skin. Curious to see how things go from here.

It works

Trustpilot

I thought it was just another sales pitch. But it works. I normally have a lot of hormonal acne, and it's especially bad during my period. (I'm 32, have 2 children and now have a coil.) Now I have none. I've just ordered for the second time.

The questions I had, too

Can it help if my breakouts are hormonal, or started after coming off the pill?

That's where most customers start: almost 8 in 10 buyers describe their breakouts as hormonal, often after coming off the pill. Clear+ is made for skin that breaks out from within: around your cycle, on your chin and jawline.

If you have PCOS or take medication, check with your doctor first.

What if it doesn't work for me?

Then you get your money back.

If it's your first order, you're covered by the 90-day money-back guarantee. Take Clear+ daily for 90 days, following the dosage instructions. Not happy? Let us know within the next 10 days through your account or at hello@meetcloudless.com, and return all pouches, including empty ones. We'll refund your purchase price, minus the cost of the return label. Full terms.

How soon will I notice a difference?

Give it 8 to 12 weeks. Your skin renews itself roughly every four weeks, and around the 3-month mark is when customers most often mention visibly clearer skin in reviews.

That's why the 3-month bundle is a good place to start.

Is it safe, and has it been tested?

Clear+ contains vitamins, minerals and spearmint, and is made in the Netherlands. Every batch is independently tested by Eurofins for heavy metals and microbiological contamination.

Don't take extra zinc or a multivitamin alongside Clear+, and don't exceed the daily dose.

How big are the capsules, and when should I take them?

The capsules are size 0, a common size that most people find easy to swallow. Prefer not to swallow them? Open them and stir the contents into your yoghurt or smoothie.

Take two every day with a meal, for example with breakfast. Taking them on an empty stomach may make you feel a little nauseous.

Can I take it with medication or use it alongside my skincare routine?

With your skincare routine: yes. Clear+ fits right in alongside your cleanser and cream.

Are you taking medication containing retinoic acid, or other supplements containing vitamin A, zinc or selenium? Check with your doctor or pharmacist first so you don't get too much.
